As "Knights of the Blind", the Kamehameha Lions offer free vision screening tests to spot early signs of blindness in Hawaii's children that might otherwise go undetected.

 

 

 


Lions Helping Lions. In February, 2007, the KLC Foundation conducted a fundraiser & charity auction to collect over $10,000 to help fellow Lion Ilona Simeona-Thomas meet her financial needs as she awaits a bone marrow transplant at The City of Hope in Los Angeles.

 

 




Kamehameha Lions volunteers helped bring attention to the special needs of the blind, joining hundreds in a march on the Hawaii State Capital in the White Cane Walk of 2006.

 

 





The KLC Foundation has been helping to host the Liliha-Palama Christmas Parade annually for decades. In nearly 40 years, it is estimated that the Kamehameha Lions have distributed over 10 tons of free candy to children along the parade route!

 

 

 

 

 



The KLC Foundation's primary fundraiser is fast becoming Honolulu's premier comedy event of the year.  "Laughs For Lions" showcases the hottest comedians in the industry, coupled with one of the hippest celebrity auctions in America, for a night of side-splitting entertainment.  All proceeds benefit the Foundation's scholarship fund and various Lions Club charities throughout Hawai`i.
